What’s in it for me?

This is a question that we’re often asked! The easy answer is – as much as you are prepared to put in! NADJ is still in its infancy, as we grow in numbers and strength, then our bargaining power to attract extra benefits for our members increase.

In many areas of the country we now have regular meetings where DJs are able to meet for training, product review, discussion, networking and most of all to foster new friendships in a relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere. Every member has a different level of knowledge and experience, and there is always somebody to help point you in the right direction! We also have regular visits from both Manufacturers and Retailers who are usually happy to give great discounts. We also regularly have a bring and buy table, this allows you to move on the pieces of kit you no longer want, but may prove a godsend to someone else!

The local branches also provide excellent emergency cover in the event of accident or sickness – it is a very comforting to know that your gig is being covered by someone proficient and reliable!

Available to all full NADJ members is Public Liability Insurance, this has been negotiated with some of the biggest players in the field, and we have come up with one of the most competitive products on the market, offering £10million worth of cover for only £84 per annum, or in 10 monthly instalments of £9.03.

All paid up members also receive an annual subscription to Pro Mobile Magazine (cost £12 pa to non-members), which is fast becoming THE magazine for the serious mobile DJ – packed full of useful tips, reviews, and assistance in how best to operate your business.

Members also gain free access to the Annual NADJ Tradeshow and AGM, which is supported by nearly all of the major players in manufacture, retail and innovation in our industry. Last year this was supplemented by various free seminars around, Sound Lighting and Technology, which we aim to expand further where possible for next year.

The management committee work tirelessly to try and establish further branches across the country, to make contacts with other sectors who can be of mutual benefit such as Agents, Party planners and Hotels, and to this end produce a series of flyers and postcards which are available to members, and can be personalised for use in their own areas.

The NADJ Website also contains a “Find a DJ” section which is available to all members for free.
