Latest news on DJkit open evening, have spoken to the guys and looks like it will be in September. Will keep everyone posted. Having a low key curry night on Wednesday 3rd June near Salisbury to try and attract new members, if any one is interested in coming along please phone me only on 07956361149 by Monday evening.On a different subject, I have now had 3 NJD starcloths and all have lost 1 channel of leds after 3 gigs, if anyone has had problem please let me know.Or is it just me.

Lack of numbers to the meetings might have something to do with lack of communication? I normally try to support any meetings, but heard nothing about the last few.

Point taken Darren.I had tried to contact as many DJs as I could, even posting on the NADJ website. We held an open night at DJkit last October with a meeting after, the open night was a great success but only a handful of DJ's attended the meeting. I did organise a curry night 2 months ago near Salisbury of the 12 DJ's in attendance only 3 were members and the rest are not interested in joining the association. I may try to organise another meeting in a month or so and am in talks with DJkit with regards to another trade open night. All NADJ members will recieve some good discounts from James and the team at the store and then after our purchases we can relax in the Dolphin opposite for a drink and a chat about all things disco. Hi there - I've just joined and am near Southampton, so definitely fall within the "Southern" catchment. Interested to put myself forward as an interested party should the Southern branch get together again. Disco name is Party Time Mobile Disco, CD based (yeah I know, old skool, but it works for me) with all the usual kit and about 5yrs experience. Looking forward to hooking up with like minded southerners and hopefully working together to cover each other's gigs, etc. and to learn from my more experienced colleagues. Onwards and upwards ...

The DJkit/NADJ open night held on Monday 23rd November was attended by only a handful of DJs which was somewhat disappointing compared to last years, Pioneer were there demonstrating the new cdj2000 which is very nice but probably out of most DJs price range and the guys at DJkit were offering some great deals on all purchases that night, most of the DJs who were there all chatted afterwards in the pub opposite and exchanged stories,advice and telephone numbers. Plans are underway for another open night in February with a couple of more leading manufacturers in attendance so please keep your eyes peeled on the Nadj board and djkit website.
